Host: Dr. Reyes, thanks for joining us. What's the one thing you want practicing cardiologists to take away from the updated heart failure course?

Dr. Reyes: If I had to pick one thing — it's how much earlier we're now recommending initiation of guideline-directed medical therapy. The data on early combination therapy is much stronger than it was even two years ago.

Host: And for a physician who took the full course, what should they do differently starting Monday morning?

Dr. Reyes: Review your current heart failure panel. Anyone still on monotherapy who's a candidate for the four-pillar approach is worth a follow-up visit.
